2018-2019 PLAY Program Update
The PLAY program received applications from 124 communities this year, including 73 returning partners and 51 new applicants. These applicants shared strong, inspiring visions for the children and youth in their communities.
Between April and August 2018, the PLAY team facilitated community outreach, interviews and feedback sessions with all applicants. Ultimately, 93 community partners were selected for the 2018-19 year, based on a number of factors including existing gaps in youth programming, a clear vision for the program and an expressed need for additional capacity building and support.
