Applications for the 2024 Indigenous Programs partnership year with Right To Play are OPEN between September 1st – October 6th, 2023!

Right To Play is thrilled to announce the launch of our 2024 partnership applications! The PLAY Program partners with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, Indigenous organizations, and Indigenous youth-serving organizations in Canada to support locally-delivered youth programming. Partners receive access to:

  • Training & coaching for local youth workers
  • Youth leadership opportunities
  • Play-based activity curriculum that supports the development of life skills for improved health & wellness
  • Salary funding to support employment of a local youth worker
  • Program cost funding to support program operations
  • Sport & recreation clinics
  • Summer camp programming


How to Access the Application

Right to Play invites both new and returning partners to apply for a 2024 partnership. Not sure which application form to fill out? Communities / organizations who partnered with Right To Play in 2022-2023 are considered Returning Partners. All other applicants fall under the NEW Applicant designation.

The application should take between 1 – 1.5 hours to complete. You will be able to save and return to your application by clicking ‘Save and Resume’ located at the bottom of the form, inputting your email, and hitting ‘send’. Financial information, projected budget, and name of the governing body, agency or individual who supports the application are all required to complete the application submission.

Please note that when you ‘Save and Resume’, attachments will NOT save. Do not upload attachments until you are ready to submit the completed application.


Who Can Apply

Eligible groups include:

  • First Nation, Inuit, Métis communities
  • Indigenous organizations & registered charities
  • Indigenous youth serving organizations

Ineligible groups include:

  • Individuals
  • Organizations operating outside of Canada
  • Unincorporated and grassroots groups without a trustee

Submission Deadline:

The application is due Friday, October 6, 2023. Selection and decisions will be made in early November 2023. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application.
